Our Flagship Programme
"EpoDerm" a novel biologic therapy for diabetic foot ulcers
Diabetic foot ulcers continue to be one of the most dangerous complications of diabetes, as millions of patients all around the world suffer from them, which often results in infections, hospitalisation and limb amputation.
EpoDerm is an innovative biologic drug, which is developed in order to deliver recombinant human erythropoietin to the chronic wound in a sustainable way by means of a special hydrogel system.
This project integrates pharmaceutical science, biomaterials, molecular biology and clinical medicine for developing a drug, which can enhance the wound healing process without any adverse systemic effects.
